Sailing with us is a very sociable activity and you will soon get to make many new friends. But there are chances to meet up, outside of sailing trips. We organise a number of social events throughout the year and you'll hear about them in the club's newsletter and social media.
Our start of season party usually takes place in February or March in London. This is very popular as it's the first meet up of the season and a chance to discuss trips and book your place.
The End of Season Party, which marks the end of the sailing season, takes place in November / December at a London location and is often combined with the club's AGM, when you can hear how the club has done over the season.
We also arrange a number of social get-togethers throughout the year to catch up with club officers and other members. If you're thinking of joining, do try and come to the next gathering, whatever it is, and meet the people you could be sailing with. We always welcome new joiners or anyone interested in sailing.
Over winter, we arrange ad hoc talks and training activities. Recent subjects have included navigation, racing techniques, first aid and diesel courses. Work during the winter months maintaining our yachts offers another opportunity to keep in touch with fellow club members.
There is also the Chart Correction Day, when the boats' charts are updated with any changes or corrections.
